Shamus, Samson & Tamalee

Posted Sunday 29 April 2007 and filed under: Shmerpi Creatures, Softies

Just popping in to introduce two more Pirate Shmerpi creatures.
Samson (#32) is a custom order. The snail buddy was a special request :-)

Shamus (#31) is also a custom order with a monkey buddy as a special request. The customer also requested lots of orange and aqua.

I also promised I’d make Ava a little cuddly friend. Thanks to generous family and friends, she practically has a softie of every creature known to man, so I wanted to make her something that was different. Her favourite colours are blue and green, and I used vintage fabrics recovered from my Grandmother’s stash. While the girls slept this afternoon, I was able to whip up this little one:

She greeted Ava upon her awakening and Ava has been toting her around the house ever since :-) After much ummming and ahhhing, Ava settled on the name “Tamalee“.

Now, must go and watch a person I seem to relate to very well - Ugly Betty :-)

Oh, Jhoanna! All three are so great, but especially the one for your daughter. I love how all your softies have such different looks.

The pirates are great and I love the snail buddy! I wonder what it would be like to have a snail as a buddy - that constant trail of shiny silver goo…..

I just love your softies and they certainly are like none other! Micah named his cocoa bear “Abraham” because he loves Abraham Lincoln :) I so love the names they come up with, I think it’s possibly my favorite part.
