Random Facts Giveaway!
Thanks to Net who recently tagged me with “7 Random Facts About Me“! Haven’t done this meme in a while so here’s a hodge podge of facts:
1. Just like Justine Clarke, I Like to Sing! My husband comes from a musical family – they are all blessed with wonderful voices. Me? Let’s just say I seriously couldn’t sing to save someone’s life. Thankfully the girls love to sing and are at that stage of still being tone-deaf, so we all enjoy singing way off-key together!
2. I believe that the teachers in Victoria deserve the pay increase that they are asking for.
3. I am not sporty or athletic – not in the slightest. The tales I could tell about my misadventures in Sport back in high school . . .
4. Though I am married to Mr Gadget and work in the field of new telephony technology, I wouldn’t have the faintest idea about what’s hot and what’s the new must-have in gadgets and technology. Give me my sewing machine and I’ll be happy.
5. I feel my best in the morning.
6. I have a blood-test done every few weeks to monitor my condition as a particular gland is not working as it should be, but I am definitely feeling so much better than I did last year (and haven’t yet been sick once this year – yay!).
7. I refuse to believe that the universe and all that is in it, with all its complexity, beauty and diversity somehow happened by chance. I do believe that it was made by a Creator who put a lot of thought, heart and care into every single piece of His creation from the atom to the dinosaur, and ensured that indeed everything created was “handmade with love” :-)
I won’t tag anyone else with this meme. Instead I’ll ask everyone who wants to be in the running to win Peg Bear Waltz (below) to leave a comment on this post stating one random fact about them.
Why? Because this month marks the 2nd birthday of this little blog! And also because it is a small way of saying thank you to all of you who stop by and leave a word of encouragement. Some of you will recognise the Amy Butler fabric on Waltz – I just love that shade of green. Waltz is backed with my new favourite grey wool-blend flannel, which I picked up recently for $10/metre on sale, down from the usual $40/metre (love being in the right place at the right time!).

Difficult when you are a random kind of person… I accidently swallowed a depression era sewing pin when I was 8 1/2 years old while staying with my grandparents. How? I was just imitating my g’ma and mum by holding the pin in your mouth but forgot it was there when I coughed. The pin unfortunately did not have a happy ending. Rusted to smitherines in less than a year after a trip down my throat.

When I was younger I hated pink. I thought it was too girly and I would be “un-cool” if I wore it. Then I had two little girls. Now I love pink! I can’t seem to get out of the house without wearing something pink! LOL

Like Cheyenne, I agree with #7 too! But for something completely random about me… I used to be a technical proposal editor/manager at a large corporation. It was as exciting as it sounds, and I have no idea how I ever ended up in a gray cubicle all day long. Thankfully, I’m doing what I was created to do now, and that was just a short season of my life!

Two years – wow – congrats!
Random Fact….4 days after my wedding I cut and sold my hair to a wigmaker. It got me about $80 because my hair is so heavy. Apparently it was enough for 1/2 a wig.

I love to sing, but I also love the album “I Like to Sing” by Justine Clark. It is my favourite children’s album in the house.
As you can tell from my web address, I always match my pegs, and due to my peg love, I think your lovely peg bear would feel right at home in the matching pegs household!

Hmm.. random fact about myself.. I never make my bed – I’m allergic to house dust mites, and since they prefer a moist enviroment (like a warm bed and such) I never make my bed, but leave the covers open.

When I was 8, I had a HUGE, HAIRY spider accidentally – I suspect – crawling on my hand when I was playing with a friend outside my house. I say “I suspect” because you never know what these little devils are up to! Since then, I am completely freaked out by spiders, having 600 funny stories of close encounters that led to me running around the house screaming like the mad woman that I am.

I’ve really enjoyed everybodie’s facts.
My husband and I have about 7 boy’s names picked out for when we had kid’s,but we could never agree on girl’s names…not even one.
So,our first girl wasn’t named for a few days and our second girl was named after I was left alone,1 hour after a ceasar(my husband was kicked out because it wasn’t visiting hours!!!!??)high on crazy drugs and I couldn’t get,”Lucy in the sky with diamond’s waaaaahhhahh” out of my head,hence we have Skye Lucinda.
