More Patterns

Posted Friday 11 July 2008 and filed under: Just Sharing,Prints, Patterns & Fabric

Hi All! I missed you!!!

Wow, the last 2 weeks have been absolutely craaaazeeeeeee. Remind me next time we decide to move that we must hire professionals to do it all for us, okay? Thankfully family & friends willingly pitched in to help us move and clean, but I don’t think I want to put us all through that stress again!

So our new home is still a huge mess but I quickly wanted to pop in, between unpacking boxes, to say hello (hello!). I took some pics of lovely things I have received in the mail but my compact flash card has decided to die on me so here are a few new patterns instead.

I re-did the “Bunny Hop” pattern – removed the stripes and tried to arrange the bunnies around so that there was more ‘movement’:

I also re-did the “Three Roses” pattern to make it look a bit more balanced. I’m hoping to get this one printed soon for some clothes for the girls:

And, given my incredible inability to grasp yarn-craft coupled with my current crush on crocheted granny squares/circles, I mocked up what you could call a faux crocheted circle pattern (in the spirit of Denyse Schmidt’s Patchwork Promenade “cheater print” :-)):

I think this pattern would look nice as cushions or as a quilt-top (you could quilt around all the circles to make them stand out).

Also for those of you have been patiently waiting (thank-you!), I’ve now got a few copies of the Handmade Magazine with the Babushka soft doll pattern now in my shop over here.

[EDITED Dec '09 to remove content]

Anyways, I have so much more to share but need to sort out my craft room so that I can get sewing again. I’ll be back here later next week (hopefully) with some new softies. Yikes, is it July already?!

I love the colours of the new bunny print Jhoanna.

That pic of the date is fantastic. I admire his dedication to the techie in him.

I love that bunny pattern! It’s adorable, and I think it’s perfect. I love moving into a new place, but only if I can get everything right where I want it the first time – I don’t like having to stash things here and there for ‘later’… it never comes!

Oh – I’ve finally gotten a petition and proposal ready to go to the town council about my Chickens. I’ve collaborated with some distant neighbors who have chickens on this project… and I’ve set up a blog about it. There’s a link from my ‘regular’ blog, but I’ll just put it here too for ease of use – check it out! http://www.wfchickens.blogspot.com

Hey it’s not my fault that the actual #1 Melbourne iPhone buyer didn’t have any ID therefore defaulting to me to inherit the title :P

My partner is out hunting down an iPhone right now. The line up he was waiting in yesterday morning sold out, he would surely be envious of Mr Gadget right now. Ahhh boys and their toys.

    Great patterns!

So funny. I was discussing the iPhone hooha with my husband – I showed him the pic of your husband just now and he tells me that they used to work together. Such a small world! I’m loving your little bunny pattern, btw :)
