Distracted by Unsuitable Hairstyles

Posted Monday 6 October 2008 and filed under: Just Sharing

Yup, still no sewing to speak of – my machine has been gathering dust while I work on a few other things. But I am hopeful that I’ll be able to get back into it tomorrow.

My preliminary sketches of the the 2 giant dolls have been submitted and once they get the green light I can share a little more about what they are for and where they are going (hint: somewhere overseas and I will be going with them :-)). I spent some time on the weekend drawing up the doll in the correct scale on the floor – I ended up sticking together 6 pieces of A3-sized paper to get it right. Now to de-construct it into pattern pieces and start cutting them out.

I’ve also been slightly distracted (okay, very distracted) my Yearbookyourself.com. I did a whole heap of them (and laughed so hard by tummy ached and my cheeks hurt) but these are my favourites:

Heeheehee! It’s well worth trying out just to bring a few laughs and smiles into your day :-)

I can’t believe my exhibition at Hudson is drawing to a close – the month and a bit has flown by. If you might still be interested in dropping by and having a look, please do this week as I will be packing it all up sometime next week.

I’m off to get dinner ready and give the girls a bath – I’m going to Brown Owls tonight and I’m really looking forward to it!

Working through the paperwork . . .

Posted Wednesday 1 October 2008 and filed under: Just Sharing

On my desk (which is the dining table for tonight) . . . is a bit of a paper mess.

=> Printed faces for 2 upcoming softie projects
=> Draft woodland girls to be made into 4 foot tall dolls. Dimensions yet to be added.
=> Passport application for the Youngest
=> Softie pattern templates. New softie patterns to be released soon!

Back to work but before I go I wanted to alert you to this disturbing article – I am seriously hoping they haven’t made it in to our markets. Yikes. (I for one will be keeping a close eye on any hair ties that make it in to our home.)
