Eye Spy . . . a collection
I think I may have blogged about this before but my little collection has grown a tiny bit since then so here is what I like to collect (besides fabric!) – Kokeshi:

The two tall ones in the back were both gifts. The one on the far left is a vintage kokeshi, the next one is a Momji, then another vintage kokeshi (with baby on its back), two vintage children kokeshi, two modern kokeshi dolls, and the last one on the right is my newest acquisition – another vintage kokeshi that I picked up in Gipplsand (of all places!).
Oh, how I would love to be visiting the LATDA Museum in Los Angeles right now! They are hosting an exhibition called “Kokeshi: From Folk Art to Art Toy“. If you have some time, browse through their online gallery – beautiful, amazing kokeshi to be seen!
I am also patiently waiting to pounce should these gorgeous wooden figures by Loobylu find their way in to her shop! :-)
More collections to spy over here. Thank you to Liesl for this week’s theme – check out her wonderful vintage swap card collection!

They are all so sweet, especially the one with the 2 buns. I love how they can all be the same yet so different.
